Methanol intoxication

At 11pm the Police call an ambulance with the doctor to exclude other possible injuries in a man with suspected alcohol intoxication and to consider patient´s ability to be transported to sobering up cell. According to the police officers man has following symptoms : confusion, abdominal pain, headache, inarticulate speaking. The Police did the alcohol breath test and find 1.5 ppt. After the arrival at the scene doctor finds out the patient is a drunk homeless. From the anamneses he knows that the man was drinking from 1pm with his friend and has drank about 3 litres of cheap wine and a 1L bottle of spirits bought in a near-by cigar-store.
