Central venous line placement

In most cases, a central venous catheter (CVC) is inserted into veins draining into the superior vena cava. CVC is inserted by a physician, and follow-up care is performed by a qualified nurse. The care of a CVC must be professional, all procedures must be duly documented and thoroughly monitored.
